Don't ge blinded by this spell. I tested this . i had 280hp max and i used Protective Spirit on myself. Every high damage become 28hp. it does not completely block attacks.

Protective spirit was never intended to block attacks. It does what it SAYS it does. I'm not sure where you got the idea that it "completely blocks attacks".

Situations that i have found this spell works really work is when fighting against Wurms that appear in Lornar's Pass and also against monsters that spam earth magic. (Aftershock + Earthquake in particular). It saves lives and reduces the amount of healing needed on the person getting whacked.

The description DOES NOT state that you cannot lose more than 10% of your MAX health, due to a single attack or spell. It states that you cannot lose 10% of your health. This should mean that as your life goes down so does the max dmg anyone can do to you. The description is deceiving.

I took this skill along to the UW as a trapper (R/Mo) and it made the roundup part of the pull for a trap group pretty simple.

I was originally a R/E but this skill has kinda sold me on R/Mo.

btw if this spell was no more than 10% of current health and not max, it would be WAY too powerful, even if it was an elite

i tested this and Mashekle - Jul is wrong . stop posting bs posts scap. oO



My current health was 60 i used prot spirit. i took 15 damage per attack and took 40 damage per warrior special skills. it doesn't negates the attacks to 10% current health.

Mashekle - Jul said
Ex.) the description say if your current hp is 10
all damage will become 1 (10% of 10)

WRONG

alright... does anyone else find it lame that this doesnt prot against sac spells by the wording of this spell? the ppl in prot bond forum believe that sacs arent dmg but this spell is worded diff.

I am pretty sure it does not protect u against your own damage. Example , infuse health and offering blood.

Self-damaging is akin to what it is in Magic the Gathering. You can't prevent or redirect the damage you cause to yourself.
If you could do it in either game, that would destroy the entire mechanic of sacrafice as a method of balance.
